Happy 3 months!

 3 months already, can you believe it? I have been absolutely loving exploring my new passion for baking and eating it too!  


Since picking up the whisk during lockdown, I feel I have a new found appreciation for food. Of course I have always had a love for food, who doesn’t love stuffing their face with sweet goodies, but I feel like it’s a whole new level of appreciation. I now take the time when walking down the high street or going out for dinner to notice what’s around me, from the local cafes and bakery’s to the chains and take aways. How did they get there? Have they always loved food and decided to open a business or was it passed down to them from family? I appreciate the time and effort going into the preparation, I mean kudos to my mum for cooking for however many people over however many years! 



Me and Andy had a little mini break to Stratford upon Avon a few weeks ago which was just what I needed and I loved every second. Whilst we were there in the pouring rain we stumbled across the young market trader of the year final and I was so excited to see what was there and even happier to see plenty of cupcake stalls, I was in heaven!! The one that stood out to me was the tipsy bakery with these brightly coloured and gorgeously decorated cupcakes that also allowed you to add alcohol, such a good idea! I couldn’t wait to get back in the dry to try this cupcake and I don’t think I have stopped talking about it since, they were very worthy winners! 


 




Even though I might not be baking every week, it’s always on my mind and I’m loving hatching plans which includes my next big challenge...
