Mother’s Day

Following my last post about my sisters birthday afternoon tea, I had quite a few people messaging asking for treat boxes for Mother’s Day. At first I wasn’t too sure as 1. I needed to find the time to do it and 2. I hadn’t made anything like that to bulk order before which was scary as hell!! After freeing up some time and only committing to 6 boxes I thought, what the hell let’s do it!!

I HAD THE BEST TIME!

I decided to bake it all in the one day which actually worked really well and enabled everyone to have everything nice and fresh for Mother’s Day.

Last time I found the pasties were very big to eat before the rest of the afternoon tea, so I made slightly smaller versions which I think worked out well but were very fiddly to fill and crimp. It also left me with a lot of pasties left over.

My mum also let me borrow her piping nozzle that made the rose petal effect which, after a few practise attempts, came out really well and I have now decided I need to invest in one!

All the different elements fit into the box well and I loved the way it presented. I’ve had some great feedback and comments and I am so pleased everyone got to enjoy a little Mother’s Day treat 🤎
