Chocolate is always the answer
Although watching bake off this week made me feel slightly better, I was really nervous about attempting brownies again as I haven’t been successful yet, what’s a brownie without a gooey centre?
My plan was not to over complicate it with fancy ingredients and since my sister made a request of salted caramel, I bought a little pot of goodness to jazz up my brownie.
One thing I’m trying to learn is to trust my gut. When I was whisking the eggs and sugar I found it so hard to decide when it was done, back and forth, should I keep whisking, should I not? I finally decided to mix the rest of the ingredients together trying to fold as lightly as possible and once in the tray, I loved drizzling the salted caramel on top giving it a little golden touch.
As stressful as I found the bake, the gooey centre achieved made it well worth it and it tasted bloody sensational too 🤎
